A Mystery Revealed

Dear Church Family,

Most people enjoy the suspense of a mystery thriller. Books and movies keep us on the edge of our seats, as do documentaries about unsolved mysteries. Other mysteries are more personal – like figuring out how to fill out your tax form or what to get your mom for Mother’s Day. The only thing more compelling than a mystery is when the mystery finally gets solved!

This Sunday’s sermon text reveals a mystery that had perplexed God’s people for centuries – a mystery now solved in the most astonishing fashion by the coming of Christ. The solution to this mystery is displayed so all can admire God’s wisdom. The mystery? The greater hope of Jesus is for ALL people. No one is excluded. And how does God want to reveal this message? Through the church, i.e. through us!

Join your family in Christ this Sunday as Pastor Caleb continues our series Know Greater Hope by taking us into the mystery of Ephesians chapter 3:1-13. I’ll at our DSC-Delray campus this Sunday leading worship there.

ICYMI – Watch my sermon from last Sunday based on Ephesians 2:11-22 “How Foreigners Become Family.”

Camp South – Every year, Divine Savior Church takes a group of youth to Camp South, a Bible Camp for youth entering 5th-8th grades. At Camp, kids get to study God’s Word, develop Christian friendships, and grow in their faith. Camp South takes place in Covington, Georgia from July 24-28th, 2023. Check out the 2022  Camp South video here to see what camp is like. Registration for Camp South is open. Find all the info and registration link on the Divine Savior Church app home page (Doral campus). Deadline for registration is coming soon! Any questions? Contact Pastor Caleb.

All Pro Dad – Any dads and their kids who are in PreK4 through 6th grade can team up with other dads and kids at our school once a month for All Pro Dad! We meet before school from 7:00-8:00 AM in the high school commons for a free breakfast and a character based-curriculum that helps dads start meaningful conversations with their kids. RSVP on our chapter website for our monthly breakfast on May 18th. Questions? Contact Pastor Ben.

Youth Confirmation – On Sunday, May 28 we will come together as one church family for a special bilingual worship service to celebrate the students who will be confirmed in their Christian faith. Worship will begin at 10:30 am in the high school gymnasium, followed by a cake reception in the commons.

Annual Meeting – Reserve the date on your calendar, Sunday, June 4 to attend our DSC Annual Meeting and hear important congregational updates about our ministry and family in Christ. Grab a cup of coffee and gather together in the academy music room.

Serving Opportunities:
Photography Team – One of the most powerful ways to communicate who we are as a family in Christ with other people is sharing photos. Are you willing to help us get photos at church or special events? At the minimum, you just need a cell phone with a camera. Please click this link if you’re interested or contact Lexi Caira with questions.

Fellowship Events Team – As a church family, we support each other, are empowered to serve together, and embrace the unity we have in Jesus in our diversity. The Fellowship Event Team is a group of volunteers that serve to help strengthen the relationships we have with one another within our church family. We are blessed by events throughout the year where we get to know each other better. Opportunities to serve on the team vary and are flexible. Contact Staff Minister Becky with questions or interest.
