Dear Church Family,
This Sunday we continue our Trustworthy series with Titus 3:3–8. Pastor Caleb will take us into the words of the apostle Paul who reminds us of our former way of life—and then gives us the Gospel in three powerful words: He saved us. Not by our works, but through Baptism and the mercy of God.
This changes everything. We no longer live for ourselves or the approval of others. We live for an audience of One—Jesus Christ. In Him, we are justified, loved, and free to devote ourselves to doing good.
Join us this weekend at church as we celebrate the grace that saves and transforms. It’s also Camp South Celebration Sunday which means we’re inviting all the kids who went to Camp South and their families and we’ll get to sing some of their favorite songs. It’s going to be a wonderful weekend of worship and praise whether you attend the Saturday bilingual service or Sunday morning.
ICYMI – Watch my sermon from last Sunday – part one of our Trustworthy series based on Paul’s words, “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst” (1 Timothy 1:15).
DSKids Sunday – Sunday, August 17th, is DSKids Sunday! We will celebrate families involved in our DSKids ministry program with a special presentation during the worship service and Home Builder sessions following the service. All families who participate in the DSKids ministry are invited to participate in one of three sessions after the service. Each session will help equip parents to gather around God’s Word in their home, where their family can grow closer together and closer to Jesus.
Youth Confirmation Orientation – We’re excited to share some important updates to our Youth Confirmation Class that reflect our deep commitment to family discipleship, spiritual growth, and lasting faith formation. These changes come after much prayer, reflection, and feedback—and we believe they will make a big difference. All students in 6th, 7th or 8th grade and their parents who are interested in confirmation are invited to join us at one of the orientation sessions: Wednesday, Aug 20 at 7:00 pm or Saturday, Aug 24 at 10:30 am. (This includes students who began their instruction last year and their parents.) Please RSVP here and let us know which you will attend.
Refreshments Needed – It’s a blessing to grab a cup of coffee and visit with others after worship each week. It helps us build relationships within our church family and creates an opportunity to meet new people. Our team needs help to do that. Are you willing to help by bringing a snack periodically? Or perhaps consider serving by making coffee and preparing the snacks to serve? Please contact Staff Minister Becky for more info or if you have any questions.

An inaugural fundraising dinner will be held on Wednesday, August 20 at 7:00 PM at La Terraza Restaurant in Doral. More info: illumineschools.com | RSVP here if interested. Note: This new school is not competition for Divine Savior School but could be a natural next step for some of the students who graduate from the DSS Core Program.
