Dear Church Family,
As we head into Labor Day weekend, many of us here in Doral are coming off a couple busy weeks of back-to-school schedules, traffic, trying to keep every plate of our responsibilities spinning, while staying healthy and figuring out a good pace and rhythm for our families. It’s easy to feel like our worth is tied to how hard we work and how well we’re doing—or to feel completely exhausted by it.
This Sunday, we’re looking at a story in Luke 17:11-19 where Jesus meets us right in the middle of our busyness and hustle to offer something we all need: unearned grace, true rest, and a whole new perspective on our daily labor. We’re following the readings of the historic one-year lectionary before we begin our new series for Welcome Back Weekend next weekend. I’ll be preaching in English this Sunday. Pastor Grant will be preaching for the Saturning bilingual and Sunday Spanish services. We look forward to worshiping with you and receiving God’s together God’s grace!

Faith & Family Night – Starting THIS Wednesday, September 9, join us every Wednesday at 7:00 pm for Bible studies in English and Spanish, Youth Confirmation Class, DSYouth, DSTeens, and childcare for little ones. Find all the opportunities in the DSC App → DSC Info → Groups & Classes. To end the evening, we’ll come together for a special time of devotion, song, and encouragement in God’s Word. Together, we grow in faith, strengthen meaningful relationships, and are equipped to reflect the light of Christ in our daily lives.
In particular, consider being a part of Pastor Grant’s Bible study on Revelation or Staff Minister Becky’s women’s Bible study called “Unburdened by Grace.”
DSYouth & DSTeens Are Back! – We’re excited to kick off a new year of DSYouth and DSTeens on Wednesday, September 9, as part of Faith & Family Night. We support families with students in 6th–12th grade as they grow together as disciples of Jesus. Students will have the opportunity to build meaningful Christian friendships, grow in God’s Word, and strengthen their faith in a fun and welcoming environment. We’ll meet weekly on Wednesday nights from 6:00–8:00 pm, with special events throughout the year. Register in the DSC App by selecting DSC Info → All Groups & Classes → DSYouth & DSTeens, and join us as we grow together in faith!
All Pro Dad – Dads, join us for a special morning with your child! All Pro Dad is a monthly opportunity for dads and their kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade to enjoy breakfast together, connect with other families, and have meaningful conversations that strengthen your relationship. We meet before school from 7:00–8:00 AM in the High School Commons. Come make memories, build friendships, and start the day with your child in a meaningful way. RSVP on our chapter website.
Welcome Back Weekend – Everyone Invite One! – Welcome Back Weekend is a chance to reconnect as God’s family—and to make room for one more. As you think about your friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family, who comes to mind? Who is your ONE? Let’s welcome them into a community where people are encouraged, cared for, and loved in Christ. Join us for worship: Saturday, Sept. 12 at 5:00 pm (Bilingual) or Sunday, Sept. 13 at 9:30 am (English) & 11:30 am (Español)
Faith5: Building strong families – Learn a simple but powerful framework that can help center your family around Christ. Find ways to connect with your family and deepen your understanding of each other. Improve the mental and spiritual health of your children and yourselves as parents! Participate in our next sessions of Faith5 with Divine Savior Church! You will join together, along with other parents, to learn how to implement this simple tool. We invite both parents to attend the upcoming Sunday sessions from 11:00 am-noon. Session dates are September 20, 27 and October 4 and 11. Register on the DSC App → DSC Info → Groups & Classes.
