What is Advent by Candlelight?
Advent by Candlelight is an opportunity to set aside the hustle and bustle of holiday festivities and focus your heart on the birth of Jesus. This relaxing evening begins with a light snack served to you at a beautifully decorated holiday table. Afterward, enjoy an entertaining program designed to prepare heart and mind for the true meaning of Christmas with God’s Word. This evening is our gift to you, but registration is required.

SOME CHANGES FOR COVID-19
To ensure social distancing, reduce hand to hand contact, and gather responsibly the following adjustments will be made to the evening.

• A shorter program
• Reduced singing
• 6-8 women per table (like local restaurants)
• Pre-plated desserts or snacks served to each guest separately
• Limited seating (we have plenty of space, but register early!)
• Livestream options for those unable to attend in-person

We are located 1 mile south of Atlantic Avenue on Lyons Road in Delray Beach.

When does registration begin?
Monday, November 2. Register HERE. Register early! We have plenty of space but will have to limit seating due to socially distanced seating.

What is the schedule for the evening?
6:45 PM Arrival-Guests will gather with their host outside and walk in together to ensure social distancing.
7:00 PM Coffee, tea, and treats are served by your host
7:30 PM Program begins
8:30 PM Program concludes 

Can I come if I don’t attend Divine Savior Church?
Yes. This is our free gift to the women of the community.

 

This sounds like a great evening. Can I invite some friends to come with me?
YES! YES! YES! What a wonderful way to share the real meaning of Christmas! Make sure to reserve your seat and register online starting November 2. Register early. We have plenty of space but will have to limit seating this year.

Can I bring my daughter or is this only for adult women?
This is a special event for women and young ladies. You know your child. If she can sit respectfully for a 60-minute program, she is more than welcome. We do require children to be seated with their parent or guardian. Remember, children also need to be registered online starting November 2.

Why is registration so important if this is a free event?
Due to COVID-19 we have limited seating. The reservation allows the coordinators to successfully layout a seating plan for guests so no one is uncomfortable during the event. The hostesses also put in quite a bit of preparation and an accurate count for their table ensures the best evening possible.

Do I need to bring anything?
We look forward to serving you. This is our gift to you. Don’t feel that you need to bring anything.  However, if coming empty-handed makes you feel uncomfortable you can volunteer here to bring something. 

Can I volunteer to help?
Advent by Candlelight has many opportunities for women to get involved using their unique gifts and talents. If you are interested in serving in this way, please look at this form for ways to participate.
