Matthew 6:31-33 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
One reason we hesitate to give our offerings to the Lord is because we worry. What if we don’t have enough to cover all our expenses? What if something happens and we can’t pay the debt off? What if we can’t cover the monthly bills? Here’s the truth: the Lord knows your needs and takes care them. Every day he clothes the flowers of the field. Every day he takes care of the birds of the air. Are you not as important as the flowers and the birds? God anticipates every need and always provides. He is your loving Father in heaven! Seek him and his kingdom first and all your earthly needs will be met as well.
