John 1:18-19
No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
19 Now this was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was.
What’s the greatest bridge you have ever seen or know of? The Golden Gate Bridge? The Brooklyn Bridge? Maybe it is the Hangzhou Bay Bridge. (Seriously, if you haven’t seen pictures of that bridge, google it!). All of these are great bridges, but do you know what (or who) is the greatest bridge? Jesus. Jesus is the one who connects us to God the Father. In fact, John says Jesus makes the Father known. It is through Jesus that we are connected to the Father’s love. It is through Jesus that we are connected to the Father’s forgiveness. It is through Jesus that we are connected to the Father’s inheritance (heaven). It is through Jesus that we are connected to the Father’s almighty power on our behalf. It is through Jesus that we are connected to the Father in every way. He is your bridge. He is the one who took all your mistakes and failures away. It is through him that you are connected to eternal life. Always remain connected to Jesus and you will be connected to everything that the Father offers.
Thank you, Jesus, for taking care of everything for my eternal life. Thank you for connecting withe me, and then connecting me to the Father. Help me to always remain connected to you no matter what happens in this life. Amen.
