2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Have you ever felt like you weren’t prepared? Maybe it’s anticipation of that big meeting, maybe it is going into a classroom for the first time, or maybe it is starting a new job. You feel completely unprepared and you’re nervous, anxious, and worried. But when you’re prepared and equipped for the task, a lot of those feelings subside. The same is true for living a life for God. When we aren’t equipped, we have those feelings of nervousness and anxiety, but when we are equipped we are free to serve God. So, how are we equipped? By the powerful Word of God. It is by God’s Word that we erase grudges, judgments, fear, guilt, and drama. It’s God’s Word that gets rid of everything that weighs us down. But not only does it take away the things weighing us down, but it also equips us to live and serve God in a way that honors him. Is something weighing you down today? Turn to God’s powerful Word and watch as God frees you from it and equips you to live for him.

Thank you, Lord, that you want to free me from all the things that weigh me down. Thank you for that Word that so powerfully equips me to live a life for you. Help me to examine it and study it today and always.
