2 Corinthians 8:8 I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others.

We are coming up to a season where we spend more money than any other time of the year. There is so much that we have to purchase right now. And there are bills that still need to be paid. So when it comes time to give, fear sometimes stops us in our tracks. “What if we don’t have enough?”

Look at what God’s Word says, “God is able.” God is able to supply us with everything we need, and he will give us everything we need. Why? Because God has invested so much into you. God has invested his own Son, Jesus, into you. He gave him up to death so that you can be forgiven. If he gave up his only Son for you, he’s not going to leave you. He’s not going to ask you to give and then leave you in need. No, God is able to supply your needs and will. So do not fear. God is with you. He will supply you with everything you need so that you can be generous in every occasion.

Father in heaven, thank you for supplying me with everything I need in life. You continue to get me through every single circumstance. Calm my fears and strengthen my trust that I may be generous in every occasion. Amen.
