Galatians 4:4-5 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.
Have you ever prayed and prayed and prayed and nothing seemed to change? A lot of times when that happens it can lead us to question God and his love. It can even cause us to question his existence. Think of how long it took to send the Savior into the world. Thousands and thousands of years. But God never stopped caring. He didn’t leave his people. Instead he was making sure the time was just right for his Son to come into the world to live and to die. So if you’re praying today and things aren’t changing, know that God is not ignoring you. He’s waiting for the right moment to say “yes”. Either that or he knows that what you’re asking for is not good for you or he has something even better in store for you. God’s timing is always perfect because he knows exactly what we need when we need. So don’t be discouraged today. Instead, be encouraged that you have a God who knows the perfect timing to give us exactly what we need.
Lord God, I praise you because you know everything. All my needs are known to you. Just like you knew the perfect time to send your Son to save me, you know the perfect time to answer my prayers with a yes. Thank you for knowing what I need. Help me to trust you every day of my life. Amen.
