Let’s Go!

Dear Church Family,

A cemetery seems like a really strange place to begin a journey, doesn’t it? A cemetery usually marks the very end—the final destination. But what if there is one cemetery that makes all our life journeys worth living? What if there is one cemetery that actually allows us to begin a brand new journey that will never end? Let’s go!

Join me tomorrow as we celebrate the victory of Jesus together! Worship begins at 10:30 in the high school gym where we are having a special, bilingual service followed by an egg hunt for the kids and brunch for all. Invite someone to join you. All are welcome!

ICYMI – Watch last night’s Good Friday service in preparation for your worship tomorrow on Easter. The recording includes some of the special pre-service music.

Journey to the Cross: Last Sunday afternoon about 75 volunteers from our church hosted this beautiful event. All of our ministry team volunteers, their families, and others worked together to create 13 interactive sensory stations of Jesus’ journey in His last days. God blessed us richly by bringing 346 people to experience the love of Jesus as their Savior. All of the attendees heard the gospel and were invited to our Easter Sunday service and celebration! Thank you to all who were involved, to all who invited friends, and for your prayers and support of what we do here to change lives with Jesus! We also thank Janette Schultz, our DSKids director who did a superb job in coordinating the program! Check out pictures from the event on our church Facebook page in this photo album.

DSC English Group Open Forum: All those who regularly attend our English service are invited to join me for an open forum in the high school commons right after church on April 28. I will be presenting for discussion a “proposal for change” regarding when and where our English group regularly meets for worship starting in the Fall of 2019.

DSC English + Spanish Group Open Forum: Tuesday, April 23 at 7:00 pm in the auditorium. Discussion of proposed FY 2019-2020 budget and ministry plan.
