Dear Church Family,
Have you ever tried to picture or imagine what heaven will be like? A couple years ago I assigned the eighth graders a lesson where they had to look up Bible passages about heaven and then create a sketch, a painting, or something artistic to portray their favorite description.
One of my favorites, and one of the most thought provoking, was the one you see above by a very talented girl named Minseo that she based off of Revelation 7:9. If you look closely, you’ll see the words Asian, European, and African across the foreheads of the people made to portray the beautiful diversity of glorified believers—the diversity of God’s people redeemed for time and eternity by Jesus.
She commented about the verse in Revelation 7:9 – “People from different ethnicities will be dressed in white robes and palm branches in our hands, worshipping God (Palm Branches signified celebration)”
This beautiful diversity we will see and celebrate this coming Sunday as we welcome missionaries from Academia Cristo to preach on Revelation 7:9-17. We’ll also get to learn more about the gospel ministry they do and how their resources can support the outreach you can do too with the people who live in our Doral community.

DSYouth Cook-Out: If you’re a Middle School or High school student and you’re interested in growing as a disciple of Jesus alongside other Christians, DSYouth is for you! We study the Bible together, pray together, and talk about how we live as followers of Jesus in our world. Our motto is “Disciples of Christ, Stronger Together. Join us for a cook-out on Friday, October 13 from 5:30-7:30pm! We’ll meet on the athletic field in the back of the campus. Click here for the required Parent Consent and here for Student Registration. (You only need to do this once this year.) If you’re the parent of a Middle School or High School student, you are invited to join our parent group that meets during this time. We hope to see you there!
All Pro Dad: Any dads and their kids who are in Kindergarten through 6th grade can team up with other dads and kids at our school once a month for All Pro Dad! We meet before school from 7:00-8:00 AM in the high school commons for a free breakfast and a character based-curriculum that helps dads start meaningful conversations with their kids.
