Hope by definition requires patience. We don’t hope for things we already have. Mary and Joseph were the end of a long line of those who were patiently waiting and longing for the fulfillment of God’s promise to send the world’s Messiah. If you are waiting and longing, Christmas is a powerful reminder that God knows just the right time to step into your life and fulfill the righteous longings of your heart.
