Read Genesis 8
Scripture: Genesis 8:20 – Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and cleanbirds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.
Observation: Noah got off the boat and one of the very first things he did was worship God. It was easy to see God’s grace in that moment as he stepped off that ark and noticed there was no one left. Noah and his family were not counted among the dead but the living. He didn’t earn that grace, God simply gave it to him. This grace led Noah to worship God.
Application: God’s grace is evident in my life every single day. I have not been counted among the spiritually dead but the living simply by the grace of God. I have not earned it nor deserved it. It was won and secured for me by the grace of God through Jesus. As I look around I see God’s grace when I consider my family and what we have. It is all by the grace of God. This thought and his grace motivates me to worship him today as well.
Prayer: Father, thank you for your grace. You have not counted me among the dead but the living all by your undeserved love. As I look around my life today, let me see your grace everywhere. When I see that grace, I will worship you today. Amen.
