Read Judges 13

Scripture- Judges 13:9- God heard Manoah, and the angel of God came again to the woman while she was out in the field; but her husband Manoah was not with her.

Observation- From all outward appearances, God was no longer with the Israelites. They had become slaves to the Philistines with no real hope left. Then God appeared to Manoah’s wife to announce that she was going to have a baby who would be the deliverer, but Manoah didn’t see him. So, Manoah prayed to God asking him to return. God heard Manoah and then answered his prayer. 

Application- What a comfort this section of Scripture is for me. Even though it didn’t appear God was with them, he was. Not only was he with them, but he also heard their prayers. No matter what I’m going through, no matter what the situation is, God is with me, he hears my prayers, and he answers them. 

Prayer- Father, your love is amazing. No matter what is going on in my life, I know that you are with me. In your grace, you hear all my prayers and answer me. I never have to doubt that. Thank you for giving me that assurance today and always. Amen.
