Read Acts 17

Scripture- Acts 17:25- And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.

Observation- God isn’t dependent on people to serve his needs. He doesn’t need food or water or anything else. Instead, he is the server. He gives everyone life and breath and everything else. God doesn’t need people, but people need God.

Application- God’s not reliant on me for survival. He is completely independent of anyone and anything and is self-sufficient on his own. Instead, he lovingly takes care of all my needs. He provides me with food and water, with life and breath and everything else that I possibly need. I can live with confidence, joy, and a life without obeying out of fear. Instead, I know that my God loves me because of Jesus, whom he raised from the dead. He will take care of all my needs today, and I will serve him out of thanks.

Prayer- Father, I praise you because you are self-sufficient. You don’t need anything from me; rather you supply me with everything. Let me serve you joyfully today and without fear knowing you are taking care of me. Amen.
