Disciples: God's Love in Action

What's the Big Idea?

Before choosing his 12 apostles, Jesus had observed that the crowds were in sad spiritual condition. What he saw stirred his compassion. He spoke the words, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (Matthew 9:37,38). Then he himself took action to supply workers in his apostles.

The 12 apostles show us God’s love in action. Through them, with wonders and Word, God communicated to a world in need. Watching God at work in the faiths and lives of the 12 apostles can teach us much. This series will offer a closer look at each of the apostles so that we better understand, appreciate, and believe in the work of God in our lives.
