Celebrate Mother’s Day With Us

Dear Church Family,

In Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus was asked a single question, “Which is the greatest commandment?” To this question Jesus gave two answers with three components. Love God. Love people. As yourself. As we unpack Jesus’ words you will discover the true purpose for which you were created. Your true purpose is something that’s bigger than you. It will have a powerful impact on others. And it’s something that will not end as long as you are on this earth. Love God. Love people. As yourself.

Join us as we begin a new three week message series called “Your True Purpose.” This weekend Pastor Carl will preach to kick off this series and together we will celebrate the role that moms play in helping their children understand why and how to “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and soul and mind.”

So I hope you can join us for worship this Sunday at 9:30 AM for our English service, or for our Spanish service at 11:30 AM.

Mother’s Day Photo Booth – Get a special photo with Mom or get a photo to share with Mom! After church on Sunday we will have a photo booth set up in the commons fellowship area for everyone to get a digital picture or two to share.

Mother’s Day Reception and Flowers – After church there will be a special reception in the commons fellowship area with plenty of food, refreshments, and decorations. We also thank Laura Castro and family, along with Ana Maria Gomez for their generosity in providing a rose for all our Moms.

Congregation Meeting – After worship on next Sunday, May 20th you are invited to attend a meeting to hear more about the status of our plans for building the Worship Arts Center. This is an opportunity to ask questions as well about any of the information we’ve shared the last couple weeks.

Sunday Playlist – This Sunday a band made up of teen musicians from our church will be leading us in worship. Check out the YouTube videos, sing along ahead of time, and help fill God’s house with praise on Sunday. Gathering Song: You Are My Vision. Forgiveness Song: Forgiven. Hymn of the Day: Brothers, Sisters, Let Us Gladly. Sending Song: Lay Me Down.

Your Time of Grace – If you’re looking for a place to connect with God each day, these daily videos from our friends at Your Time of Grace are a great place to start! You’ll find that they encourage you and help you find guidance for each day from God’s Word.

Changing Lives with Jesus,

Pastor Ben
