What is New Friends?
Friendship is a gift from God, but for those with special needs, it can sometimes be hard to find. That’s why Divine Savior Church, together with Divine Savior School and Academy, has created New Friends—a ministry designed to bring people together in a safe and loving environment.
New Friends is a ministry where children and teens with and without special needs come together to laugh, learn, and build lasting friendships. Through games, crafts, music, and Bible stories, participants experience the joy of belonging.
Families are invited to join us each month for fun, faith, and fellowship—starting at 4:00 PM and continuing into our 5:00 PM bilingual worship service.
We’d love for you to come and be part of the New Friends community!
A worship time
for the special needs community.
After enjoying activities, the New Friends community joins the bilingual worship service at Divine Savior Church. They sing and worship with the congregation before heading to a breakout session created just for them.
This time includes a Bible story, engaging activities, and the chance to grow in faith at their own level—all while parents and families are refreshed in worship.
Hi, I'm Noah Kvidt.
I am blessed with the opportunity to be a part of New Friends! It is a wonderful community filled with amazing individuals who are so loving, genuine, and positive! New Friends is truly a place where we can all be ourselves and have fun together!
In high school I was part of a group very similar to New Friends. My partner, Cody, became a great friend of mine! I learned so much from him and his experiences. At New Friends, our friends get to make friendships that will really make a difference for both people in a Christ-centered atmosphere!
