Dear Church Family,
Did you catch it? For the last couple of months I’ve been calling you my church family. That’s a bold word, I understand. But it’s true! You are my family—even though I don’t know all of you yet (Thank you for being patient with me!). By faith we are siblings together with Jesus in the family of God. That’s a tighter bond than blood. We are heirs of heaven together!
So what does the phrase “Divine Savior family” mean to you? What do you want it to mean for others in our church? What do you think a healthy church family should look like anyway? I would love it if you’d email me any thoughts you have as I prepare my sermon. This Sunday we’ll be looking at the life of believers in the early New Testament era as we explore a core value of our church that sounds like this: We support each other like family. Please join me for worship this Sunday at 9:30 AM as we aspire to this together.
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10).
ICYMI watch my message from this past Sunday about our core value we believe in building bridges.

Parents, Unite! To make our after church fellowship an enjoyable experience for everyone, please do not let your kids rush to the front of the refreshment line in the commons ahead of everyone else without you accompanying them. This results in pushing, grabbing, and wasting of food—a less than ideal experience for our guests and visitors as well as those serve. Thanks for helping be part of the solution using your parenting super powers!
DSA is excited to send a record 24 high school students to this year’s WELS Choral Festival in New Ulm, Minnesota. Look for some of these students serving refreshments after this Sunday’s service, and feel free to ask questions about the trip or share your own memories of choir trips from years past. They would love to chat with you! They will also have a basket by the refreshment table for donations to help cover the cost of their plane tickets. They would greatly appreciate your help in making this incredible experience possible! If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Charis.
Refreshment Schedule – Here are the families scheduled for refreshments the next two months starting October 7.
