He Gives Us What We Need

Imagine the gut wrenching turmoil Joseph went through as he tried to wrap his mind around the news that his fiancé was pregnant. Talk about dashed hopes and worst fears! In his compassion, the Lord appears to Joseph in a dream and sets it all straight. The Lord won’t always do that same kind of thing for us. But he knows what we need most and he will find a way to meet that need!

Join me for worship this Sunday at 9:30 am as we continue our Advent series Christmas Crossroads—At the Intersection of Hope and Fear.

Stocking Letter Challenge: Dads and Moms, give your kids something more meaningful than candy. Try writing them a special note or letter and putting it in their stockings. Tell them specific things you’re proud of them for. Tell them how much you love them. Explain how much your faith in Jesus means to you. Pass on some practical wisdom based on your life experience. Here’s an example of one Dad’s letter for his kids this year using the idea of writing a letter to himself as a young person.
