Dear Church Family,
No matter who we are, we are in the worship business. That’s true whether you call yourself a Christian or not. Some of us worship our careers, our cars, our comfort, our families, our free time, our own egos, ourselves. Yet worshiping anything or anyone besides the one true God makes us captive to something that cannot help us in our deepest needs. How many on that first Palm Sunday were worshiping something—a savior, a god, of their own imagination? Friends, Jesus is the only one who can truly help us. He deserves the sacrifice of our entire lives. He alone is worthy of our praise—our worship. The world needs to know Him. And if we won’t worship Jesus, if we won’t shout His praise and share His story… “The stones will cry out,” Jesus says (Luke 19:40).
So don’t get out-worshiped by a stone! Join me this Sunday in Doral in 9:30 am as we celebrate Palm Sunday and worship Jesus together. I enjoyed getting to preach at our campus in Delray Beach last Sunday, but I can’t wait to worship with you all again this weekend!
Journey to the Cross – THIS Sunday afternoon, April 14 from 3-7 pm we invite you to encounter the sights and sounds of Jesus’ journey to the cross. Click here to reserve the “departure time” for your journey. All are invited!
DSKids (3 yrs old – 3rd grade): We are excited to sing our “Hosannas” this Sunday as we celebrate Palm Sunday. ALL DSKids (whether 3 years old to 3rd grade or those that are 4th & 5th grade Acolytes) will meet in Mrs Leah Unke’s classroom as soon as they arrive at church in order that we can prepare for our song and palm processional. After we sing our song, the 4th & 5th graders can rejoin their parents and the 3 year olds to 3rd graders will continue learning about Palm Sunday in DSKids.
DSNursery: Each Sunday, in our preschool wing, we offer a safe and peaceful Nursery for newborns to 2 years old. It allows parents to be able to soak in the message during the worship service while their little one(s) get to hear about Jesus as well through story and song. We are looking for volunteers to continue this ministry. If this would be of interest to you, please contact Janette Schultz to learn more.
