Welcome to 2020. A new decade!
I’m sure we’ll see some changes over this next decade. Some we may anticipate. Others not.
There is one thing I’m absolutely sure won’t change, however…and that’s our God. And because God doesn’t change, that means his promises won’t change either!
So please join me for worship this first weekend of a new decade. Make your relationship with God your highest priority not just in 2020 but for as many decades as God, in his grace, gives you.

Church Family Picnic and DSC Amazing Race –Next Sunday, January 12, is our annual church family picnic and DSC Amazing Race! It’s a great way to connect with others, get to know your church family better, and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather in January! The fun will begin outside at 12:30 pm, right after the Spanish service. We will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, and plates, cups, etc. Please bring a side dish (salads, veggies, fruits, …) or dessert to share. The Fellowship Team has some activities planned after we eat- another DSC Amazing Race! These activities are meant for all ages and ability levels. Sign up before the service to participate, and be sure to wear / bring a set of clothes for activities.
DSC Welcome Mugs – We want visitors to feel welcome into our church family! One of the ways we can do that is by pastor personally greeting each of the 1st time visitors at worship and offering them a gift. You can help! Be part of our Buy One, Give One program! For $7 you will receive your own DSC mug and allow us to give one to a visitor. We hope you enjoy your mug and the opportunity to welcome others! Click here to participate!
Church Offerings – To all our members who are not giving online, your 2020 boxes of envelopes are on a table in the back of church. If you wish to switch your giving online simply login to MyDSC and click Give to set up online giving or to view your giving statement.
Also just a friendly encouragement if you are giving online already, this would be a good time at the end of the year to prayerfully evaluate your giving. Don’t just let your giving be on auto-pilot, but take some time to assess what you’ve been giving so that you can continue to give intentionally, generously, and joyfully as the Apostle Paul says “in keeping with your income” (1 Corinthians 16:2).
With the Spirit’s blessing we look forward to being able to continue proclaiming the powerful message of the gospel with more and more people in 2020!
