Divine Savior Church Update

Dear Church Family,

You’ve all been receiving lots of information all week long regarding the coronavirus. Much of it has been changing from day to day. If you’re like me maybe it feels like your head is spinning after so much scrolling through social media and the stories of so many things being cancelled. That’s why I just wanted to send a brief email regarding our church and our worship opportunities.

  1. We are continuing to hold live church services on campus here in Doral like normal. Therefore, there will be church tonight (Saturday) at 5:00 pm as well as tomorrow at 9:30 am (Sunday) like normal. We will also have DSKids like normal at church on Sunday. Our plan is to continue providing live in-person church worship services like normal until local government or health officials would restrict or advise us from doing so at which time would provide online only worship opportunities. Together we seek refuge in God and receive encouragement from each other.

  2. We have a special Divine Savior Church web page dedicated to our communication regarding the coronavirus where any changes or updates will be posted. On this page there is also a link to a special resource we put together to help you pray through a pandemic and a devotion on how we as Christians can respond at this time. These are both excellent resources that we hope will be a blessing to you and others.

  3. If you are choosing to practice social distancing and stay home from church, we fully support that decision too. If you are ill or at special risk for illness we encourage you to stay home. You can still join us LIVE over the internet with our livestream service in English on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am: http://dschurch.link/worship or our Spanish livestream at 11:30 am: http://dschurch.link/adorar. Consider who you might also share our livestream links with so that they too might find the comfort and strength of God’s Word!

In His Grip,

Pastor Ben

Finally let’s all take to heart this comforting word of encouragement from our gracious God:

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10)
