Dear Church Family,
There are certain situations only God can get us out of…like finding yourself in a den of hungry lions! Daniel served his king, but would not worship him. That got him in trouble. He faced certain death because of it. While we might not face death for our faith (God be praised!) we do have professional, relational, cultural, and political issues that challenge our faith. How do we deal with them?
We trust our God who delivers us from death while we persevere in prayer without ceasing. Jesus demonstrated that for us too. We can trust God is with us because He’s shown that nothing stands between us.
Please join me this weekend as we continue our series “There’s Another in the Fire” and study through Daniel chapter 6. We’ll welcome Pastor Joel from our Delray Beach campus who will bring us the online message this week as I host the rest of the service. Communion: Dear members, starting this Sunday at 12:00 pm I am providing time slots for groups of 10 or less who register ahead of time to come to church to hear a brief devotion and receive the sacrament. I will wear a mask and use hand sanitizer before each group. We will practice social distancing. I will have the communion elements carefully placed apart for each individual communicant to take their own wafer and cup of wine on their own as I direct them. All physical contact at this time is discouraged. The time slots this Sunday will be at 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm, 1:00 pm, and 1:30 pm. Please register using this form to join a group if you wish to participate.
The following weekend on Saturday, May 30 I will provide time slots of 6:30 pm, 7:00 pm, and 7:30 pm and then on Sunday, May 31 at 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm, 1:00 pm, and 1:30 pm. I will share another form next week for you to register if you wish to participate.
Alternatively, I would be happy to schedule a time for me to commune you privately upon request. Please contact me directly to discuss.
Church Reopening Plans: We’ve been working really hard this week processing the results of your survey feedback, monitoring the latest developments from the CDC and government officials, having multiple discussions as a staff via Zoom, asking God for wisdom, and crafting our plan to restart in-person services for our English group tentatively on the weekend of June 6/7 while continuing to provide church online and DSKids resources online. Stay tuned for additional communication tomorrow that will include the details of our written plan and a video in which I hope to speak with you from the heart concerning all these things.

Sunday Morning Fellowship: Starting as soon as the Sunday service announcements end, from about 10:30-11:00 am after church, I will again open a zoom room for anyone who wants to connect in person and see each other. Online Connect Group: I am hosting an online connect group for anyone who wants to join me from 8:00-9:00 pm on Tuesday evenings. We’ll discuss the weekly sermon using a short discussion guide and encourage each other. Let me know if you want to participate and I will send you a zoom link (if you haven’t already).
