I recently learned about a website called “Mother’s Day Central,” and its mission is “to celebrate mothers every day of the year.” I agree that we should celebrate our mothers more than on one day of the year, don’t you?
However, I did not find such a site dedicated to fathers! (In fact, the domain www.fathersday.com is for sale if you are interested in buying it.) Could it be that Fathers are less important? Of course not! Fathers are invaluable people in our lives, whom the Lord uses to bless us greatly. This Sunday is a day to tell them how great they are. But how about the other Father? The Big Guy?
Certainly God, our Heavenly Father deserves much more praise than our earthly fathers, right? How and how much do we praise him in our lives? How often do we tell him that he is the greatest of all?
I pray that you can join us this Sunday in our church or in your home (or wherever you happen to be) to meditate on the second message of our series on the Psalms: “Can we talk?” Our theme for this week is: “God, you are amazing!”

Serve by volunteering: Our church family is blessed to have many of you volunteering behind the scenes to make our ministry happen! Thank you! We still need help. We want to continue to move forward by providing a quality worship experience both in-person worship and online. We have upgraded the online streaming process and now have 2 positions open: 1) an online host for our streamed worship services (Saturday and Sunday – can be done from home or at church); and 2) a camera operator (Saturday service at church). Please contact Staff Minister Becky to fill these needed volunteer positions. There will be brief orientation/training. It is simple and any teen/adult is welcome!
