In the gospel message of Jesus Christ, God gives us the best news ever assuring us of the best possible outcome!
But sometimes that outcome appears uncertain. Sometimes the path forward in life looks difficult, even hopeless.
We may not have literal enemy armies bearing down on us (Thank God!) but there are times when we may feel pursued, surrounded and ready to surrender.
What should we do?
Here’s how King David concludes Psalm 27 under similar circumstances: “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”

Join me this weekend for worship as we continue our series “Can We Chat?” and see how God can give you confidence to face even your darkest fears. We’ll study Psalm 27 and see how it expresses our Christian hope even in the face of disaster. We can sing even in the midst of battle!

Equipping Christian Witnesses – is the name of a campaign to raise funds in support of our vital ministry partner, Martin Luther College (MLC). Our pastors and the majority of the teachers at our Divine Savior Academy were trained at MLC and we are blessed as a church that all of them belong also to our Divine Savior Church congregation! To learn more about the goals of the campaign, here’s a video you can watch. If God moves your heart to give to this campaign with joy, please make use of our online giving option being sure to choose the designation as “MLC Campaign.” Our goal is that our congregation can raise $20,000 (or more!) by the end of August that so that we might send a Divine Savior Church gift in support of Equipping Christian Witnesses.
WELS Family Devotions – Get your family into God’s Word during the week. WELS has started offering devotions developed for the entire family to use. Each devotion is complete with a set of questions for different age groups, a prayer, and hymn verses that can be sung or spoken. Downloadable printable versions are also available.
