Dear Church Family,
Sometimes, in the frustrations and failures of life, it feels like God is absent. Questions arise. Why did it seem like he was with me before, or with his believers before, but he’s not with me now? Sometimes we might wish we could go back to Bible times and hear from God directly like people did in those times. Yet this weekend we will see an Old Testament believer struggling with this same frustration. The solution? We look to God’s great track record of keeping his promises.
Join me this weekend as we wrap up our series Can We Chat? where we’ve been studying Psalms that speak to us today as powerfully as they did thousands of years ago. Pastor Caleb Davisson from our Divine Savior Academy will take us into Psalm 77 and help us wrestle through the question, “God, where did you go?”

Equipping Christian Witnesses – is the name of a campaign to raise funds in support of our vital ministry partner, Martin Luther College (MLC). Our pastors and the majority of the teachers at our Divine Savior Academy were trained at MLC and we are blessed as a church that all of them belong also to our Divine Savior Church congregation! To learn more about the goals of the campaign, here’s a video you can watch. If God moves your heart to give to this campaign with joy, please make use of our online giving option being sure to choose the designation as “MLC Campaign.” Our goal is that our congregation can raise $20,000 (or more!) by the end of August that so that we might send a Divine Savior Church gift in support of Equipping Christian Witnesses.
Harvest Strategy Workshop – Friday, July 24th, Pastor Caleb and Pastor Ben will be leading a workshop on how we can connect more Divine Savior Academy families to God’s Word at Divine Savior Church. We’re excited about how we can bring more people into a lifelong life with Christ! All church members are welcome to attend. The meeting will take place in the high school commons from 9:00 am-Noon.
WELS Family Devotions – Get your family into God’s Word during the week. WELS has started offering devotions developed for the entire family to use. Each devotion is complete with a set of questions for different age groups, a prayer, and hymn verses that can be sung or spoken. Downloadable printable versions are also available.
