Dear Church Family,
It’s hard to wait, isn’t it? Especially living in a society that has become so accustomed to instant gratification. We get impatient when we have to wait for more than a couple of minutes for our fast food order, or here in Doral…when sitting at a stoplight! Then there’s the fact we’re all waiting, hoping, for things to return to normal during what seems like this long season of a pandemic.
Imagine though waiting for something a whole lifetime and never receiving what you’ve been promised.
That’s the story of millions of believers who have gone before us. Theirs is an incredible story of trust and perseverance. Then an angel appeared to a young couple. In an instant, their lives turned upside down. What the world had been waiting for so long God was about to bring to fulfillment through them.
What was it like to see the promises that so many had been waiting for being fulfilled before their very eyes? In this new series, we’re going to relive the wonder of prophecy fulfilled as it was experienced by the participants of the first Christmas and find encouragement for our own times of waiting on the Lord. Watch and share our series promo video.

Give Thanks to the Lord: I pray you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving despite however different it might have been this year! In case you missed it, here’s a devotional message that I shared via video that I encourage you to watch. Pastor Caleb also put together a fantastic message for our Divine Savior Academy students. It helped me thank God for things I don’t usually think about. Check it out along with the songs that our early childhood and elementary students sang. You can find the DSA Thanksgiving services here on the DSA Chapel YouTube channel.
DSKids: We invite all children ages 3 to 3rd grade to join us this Sunday for our in-person DSKids Sunday morning program. We will continue on our quest to find fantastic verses of the Bible from Bible heroes to bury deep in our hearts and learn Bible stories that tell us more about these verses. Simply stop by our DSKids table outside the church doors on your way into worship and we’ll get your child checked in and ready to join us. See you Sunday!
Advent Devotions from Martin Luther College: As one small expression of thanks, our 2020 Advent devotion book The Jesse Tree is our gift to you this Christmas. Please visit our MLC’s seasonal devotions page where you can read the devotions online, order a print version, or sign up to have them sent to you daily during Advent.
Church Family: Your church family is here to pray for you and care for you in Christian love. If you are ill, having surgery, facing hardship, etc… please let us know. Staff Minister Becky helps coordinate this care and compassion for you as part of our family. And if you would like to be part of our DSC Care & Compassion Team, please reach out to Becky.
