A Worldview That Cultivates Generosity

Dear Church Family,

As we conclude our Soul Searching series this weekend we will see how a Christian worldview inspires a lifetime of joyful worship. Our relationship with God gives us a solid, stable identity on which to build our lives and a generous, loving spirit towards Him and others. We can live by faith trusting God to take care of all the details of our future.

Please join me this weekend as we study Genesis 4:1-9 and explore the final question in our Soul Searching series – Generosity: So, How Shall We Live? To join me in person this weekend whether on Saturday at 5:00 pm or Sunday at 9:30 am please register with this form ahead of time. To worship online with others simply click here to visit our livestreaming platform either on Saturday at 5:00 pm or Sunday at 9:30 am.

DSC on YouTube: Watch past messages, worship services on-demand, and other Christ-centered content on our church YouTube channel. To watch DSA chapel services visit our chapel YouTube channelHere’s a link to the Elementary / ECE chapel I led this week on the story of Zacchaeus.

ICYMI: Watch or share my message, part four of Soul Searching: Destiny – Where Are We Going When We Die?

DSKids: We invite all children ages 3 to 3rd grade to join us this Sunday for our in-person DSKids Sunday morning program. We will focus on how we love others from Christ’s example, as we hear the story of Cain and Abel. Simply stop by our DSKids table outside the church doors on your way into worship and we’ll get your child checked in and ready to join us. See you Sunday!

Acolyte Training: If your son or daughter is in the 4th or 5th grade this year, we’d love to have you stay after church next Sunday, February 14th for a very brief training. We are excited to give your child a special new role in the church and a fun way to serve, as an Acolyte. We would also like them to feel confident in serving this way. We’ll talk and walk through what an Acolyte does and give them an opportunity to practice. Simply come with your child to the front of the church after the service next Sunday.

Serve in your DSC family – Find a place to serve with joy in your church family! We have immediate weekly needs / opportunities for volunteers in the following areas for our worship services: 1) Online live-stream Host; 2) ProPresenter Operator; 3) Usher; 4) Greeter; 5) Marriage Ministry; 6) Refreshments. Middle school and teens are welcome for some volunteer positions! Parents, you can select a service where your family serves together! Please consider how you can serve. If you don’t yet have a team/role, have any questions, or would like to try one of these roles, connect with Staff Minister Becky .

Bingo Night – The Fellowship Team is hosting an online BINGO night for our DSC family! Join us on zoom and we will share instructions to play. Friday, Feb 5 at 8:30 pm.

(Note: it will work best if you have 2 devices to play. 1 to use for the zoom to connect with/see everyone online and the other to play BINGO on the app. It could be 2 phones, 2 ipads, laptop, or a combination of any.) Watch your email for the zoom link or find the event on the MyDSC calendar! Questions? Contact Juan Pacheco.
