Famous Last Words – Begins This Weekend!

Dear Church Family,

Many people have spoken “famous last words” before they died. What “Famous Last Words” would Jesus speak when He was being killed mercilessly on a cross? You might expect bitter words of anger with the way He was being treated. That would’ve been considered “normal. But, instead of bitter words of anger, He asked his Father to forgive those who were wronging Him! Who would have expected that? So how can these words comfort us? What can we take away from such a stunning example of grace?

To join me in person this weekend whether on Saturday at 5:00 pm or Sunday at 9:30 am please register with this form ahead of time. To worship online with others simply click here to visit our livestreaming platform either on Saturday at 5:00 pm or Sunday at 9:30 am.

DSC on YouTube: Watch past messages, worship services on-demand, and other Christ-centered content on our church YouTube channel. To watch DSA chapel services visit our chapel YouTube channel.

Congregational Update: Join our church family for a presentation on the progress of the building project for our new church facility (ministry & worship center). The Church Council and the Ministry Team are excited for this opportunity to share God’s blessings on this project. A Zoom link will be provided next week as well if you are unable to attend in person.

DSKids: We invite all children ages 3 to 3rd grade to join us this Sunday for our in-person DSKids Sunday morning program. We look forward to sharing the story of Job with your kids and to see how even amongst Job’s loss, Job trusted God and our God remains faithful. Simply stop by our DSKids table outside the church doors on your way into worship and we’ll get your child checked in and ready to join us. See you Sunday!

FAITH5 for Families: It’s not too late to be a part of the next session of FAITH5. We invite you to join us for the next 4 Sundays after worship to learn a really simple and easy to implement faith practice to do in your home each night. See how this faith practice can enrich communication with your kids as they grow up and promote mental, physical and spiritual health. More importantly, see how being gathered around the Word each night, your family is brought closer together and closer to Jesus. We will meet in the High School Media Center at 11:15 am.

Midweek Lent – We are not having Wednesday midweek Lenten services this year at church. Instead, each Wednesday morning between now and Holy Week (the next five Wednesdays) we will share a link to a 15 minute YouTube video devotion provided by a different pastor each week from our five Divine Savior Church campuses. Each video will include a devotion, a prayer, a song, and 2-3 discussion questions. You are encouraged, as you feel comfortable doing so, to invite another family over for dinner Wednesday evenings and to worship together using the video devotion. Stay tuned for your first video devotion next week. Look for it Wednesday morning via email, social media, and our new church app (Coming this weekend! Simply go to your app store and search Divine Savior Church or text DIVINE SAVIOR CHURCH APP to 77977 to preview it today).

Holy Week Travel Plans – Please help us in our planning for upcoming Holy Week worship services. Let us know if you will be traveling or here to attend with us by filling out this survey by March 1. Thanks!
