We are Saved to Serve!

Dear Church Family,

“We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure…”

Have you ever felt this way? This was how Paul described recent events in his life to a group of Christians from the city of Corinth.

I think I can safely assume that we’ve all wondered why God allows us to experience those pressure packed and sometimes painful days of life. After all, he could just lift them away. Why doesn’t he? Could it be that God is equipping us by what we experience to be able to comfort our brothers and sisters as they face their own challenges?

Join me this weekend as we begin a new series where we’ll be studying the first half of 2 Corinthians. As we do, we’ll notice how Paul lives and breathes the gospel of Jesus Christ as he ministers to a Christian congregation with struggles and challenges surprisingly similar to ours today. We’ll learn that the key to living as a Christian community is that we are “Saved to Serve.”

Join me in person whether on Saturday at 5:00 pm or Sunday at 9:30 am or worship online. To worship online simply click here to visit our livestreaming platform. You can also find it now conveniently in the church app.

ICYMI: Watch my Easter sermon from last weekend. What a comfort that Jesus continues to meet us where we’re at, even if it’s right in the middle of our fears, to tell us, “Do not be afraid!”
