Dear Church Family,
Bulging biceps, charismatic personalities, athletic abilities, intellectual prowess, business smarts, snazzy clothes, outward beauty—these are the kind of things that seem impressive in the eyes of the world, especially so here in South Florida. The trap? Sometimes we might be tempted to start thinking we need to make ourselves, or our church, more impressive in the eyes of the world to be successful. One of two things will happen then. Either we’ll find ourselves puffed up with sinful pride or we’ll fall into the pit of despair.
But in the kingdom of God there’s a different storyline altogether. The gospel of God’s grace helps us avoid the world’s trap. Jesus actually chooses frail “jars of clay” like us to change the world to show that the power is not from us, but in the powerful gospel message we’ve been given to share. God in fact shows His power through our weaknesses!
“For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake” (2 Corinthians 4:5).

Improving Communication in your Marriage: Perhaps you were unable to attend the kick off of our interactive workshop to improve communication in your marriage. It is not too late to join us! Each session is designed to equip you with tools to help you reconnect in your marriage. Dedicating a little time each weekend for this workshop will also help you and your spouse discover skills you can use right away and develop consistency over time in the changes you are implementing. Mother’s Day: Celebrate the blessings of moms with us- we all have one! We’ll have things set up outside in the park area for you to enjoy – photo booth, flowers, and light refreshments. See you there!
