Dear Church Family,
Are we there yet? As believers in Jesus, we have a longing for heaven. We long for the complete removal of sin from our life and the lives of those around us—its consequences and its nature. Perhaps because we long for this, sometimes we might also grow impatient with God’s timetable. Or we might wish to see God’s kingdom arrive into this world in ways other than what God’s word actually promises.
This week we’ll see how The Apostles’ Creed helps comfort us when we grow restless while inspiring us to work hard to share the gospel with others while there still is time.
Please join me this weekend for worship as we celebrate the Ascension of our Lord Jesus which we confess in the creed with the words He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
Join us in-person or online whether Saturday at 5:00 pm or Sunday morning at 9:30 am. In all our services this weekend we will also be celebrating the sacrament of Holy Communion.
