Dear Church Family,
Always busy. Always in a hurry. Always distracted. Is this good? Is this best? Or are we missing something as a society?
This week we’re going to hear tell God tell us to “Be still and know He is God.” To sit quietly at his feet. To taste and see what is really good. To experience the rest that comes from God.
What would happen if we learned how to stop and pay attention to God and to the world He created for us?
Please join me at church this weekend whether on Saturday at 5:00 pm or Sunday morning at 9:30 am as we continue our new series called The Rest of God!
ICYMI:Here’s a link to Pastor Caleb’s message from this past Sunday as he laid a helpful foundation for us to build upon during this series.
Revelation Bible Study: Starting this Sunday, January 16, Pastor Caleb Davisson will be teaching a Bible study after church on the book of Revelation. Location: High School Commons. Time: approximately 11:00-11:50 am. All are invited, just stop over!
Quiet time in God’s Word! This year we are following a chronological reading plan that offers a fascinating way to read through the entire Bible in one year. The entire Bible text―books, chapters, and even verses―is arranged in the order the events actually happened using The One Year Chronological Bible. Click here to accept an invite from Pastor Ben to join him and others from our church family in reading through and commenting on the Bible this year using the YouVersion Bible app. The plan started this past Tuesday, January 11 but you are still welcome to jump in and join us any time wherever we are at.
Baptism Sunday is Coming Soon! Next Sunday, January 23, we are having a special bilingual service in the High School gym at 10:30 am with a potluck meal to follow. There will be no Saturday evening service that weekend. If you know anyone who might be interested in getting baptized or having their kids baptized during this special service, please let them know! And be sure to share that our church offers baptism for FREE to anyone of any age. All that is required is that they attend one baptism class with Pastor Ben. I would be happy to talk with anyone who has questions beforehand.
Baptism Class: Are you or someone you know interested in participating in our Baptism Sunday? Join Pastor Ben to learn what the Bible teaches about baptism at an information class tomorrow on Saturday, January 15 at 10:00 am. Childcare provided as needed. Click here to register for the class. Attending this class does not obligate anyone to be baptized.
Baptism Celebration: Immediately following the service we are planning a lunch and fellowship activities. Please consider how you can serve to fill the many needs we have for this event on the needs request. The Fellowship Team will be preparing some fun activities to help us connect with one another during lunch.
Divine Savior Church Association – The pastors and staff of our church association from all five of our DSC campuses will be getting together here in Florida this coming Monday-Tuesday for two intensive days of strategic planning. Pray for God’s blessings as we plan for the future of how we can work together to share the gospel with more people in our shared Divine Savior ministry.

All Pro Dad’s Day!: Any dads and their kids who are in Kindergarten through 5th grade can team up with other dads and kids at our school once a month for All Pro Dad! We meet before school from 7:00-8:00 AM in the high school commons for a free breakfast and a character based-curriculum that helps dads start meaningful conversations with their kids. RSVP on our chapter website for our next monthly breakfast on January 20th. Questions? Contact Pastor Ben .
