Dear Church Family,
When you look ahead into this new year and the new you that you want to be, do you hope external things will change? Do you hope that this year will be the one that is different? Do you find yourself saying, “This year will be better than last, and it has got to be better than the one before that…easier, more fun, more relaxed, more enjoyable”?
But what if the change that is needed isn’t external, but internal? In his famous “sermon on the mount,” Jesus spoke statements of blessing that may sound shocking at first, but they help us understand how the new perspective of faith allows us to see God’s blessing in every situation.

Baptism Sunday – On Sunday, January 22nd we celebrate new life in Christ through baptism in our Divine Savior family. We will gather together in the high school gym for a bilingual worship service from 10:30-11:30 am. Immediately following the service we welcome you to all join us for lunch and a time to connect with one another. Regular Bible reading is one of the most important habits you can develop. This daily Bible reading plan will give you all the benefits of a steady diet of God’s Word as you read through Scripture in a year. All Pro Dad’s Day – Any dads and their kids who are in Kindergarten through 5th grade can team up with other dads and kids at our school once a month for All Pro Dad! We meet before school from 7:00-8:00 AM in the high school commons for a free breakfast and a character based-curriculum that helps dads start meaningful conversations with their kids. DSYouth Bible Study – Are you a high school student interested in growing deeper as a disciple of Jesus alongside other Christians? Join us at the next DSYouth Bible study! Middle school students will meet on Friday, January 13 from 6:00-8:00pm. High school students will meet on Friday, January 20 from 6:00-8:00pm. Our motto is “Disciples of Christ, Stronger Together. Come to the high school entrance. Parents, if you have not yet done so this year, please fill out both: Parent Consent Form and the Student Registration Form. (You only need to do this one time per student per year.)
New Connect Group Options Coming Soon! Our next connect group sessions are scheduled to begin at the end of January. Some new options have been added. Each group meets weekly for 7 weeks. Choose which one you will be part of as you connect with your family in Christ and grow in faith. Stay tuned for more info coming soon on options and how to select your group!
