One in Christ – Confirmation Sunday!

Dear Church Family,

We want the church to grow so that we can make a difference in the world around us. But we don’t just want to grow in number. We want to grow in holiness. We want to grow in unity. In this way we will show the world what our three-in-one God is like. God’s grace, the hope He gives us in Jesus, generates this growth. There is one body, one church. Our Christian community should reflect that unity. We are like a symphony orchestra and God has given us beautiful music to play. If all the sections of an orchestra were fighting and competing with one another, the music wouldn’t sound so good. But when we play together, we bless the world around us with the beautiful music God plays through us!

Join us this Sunday as we come together as one church to sing God’s praises and celebrate the confirmation of ten of our youth. Don’t forget, this Sunday we have one, bilingual service at 10:30 am in the High School gym. There will be Holy Communion. Pastor Steve and I will continue our sermon series on Ephesians 4:1-16 which is such a fitting text for a confirmation service.

ICYMI – Watch my sermon from this past Sunday based on Ephesians 3:14-21 “A Prayer for Our Divine Savior Family.”

Youth Confirmation – This Sunday, May 28 we will come together as one church family for a special bilingual worship service to celebrate the students who will be confirmed in their Christian faith. Worship will begin at 10:30am in the high school gymnasium, followed by a cake reception in the commons.

Annual Meeting – Reserve the date on your calendar, Sunday, June 4 to attend our DSC Annual Meeting and hear important congregational updates about our ministry and family in Christ. Grab a cup of coffee on your way.

Opportunity to serve – Offering refreshments right after the worship service is a great time to build relationships with one another. We get the opportunity to meet someone new or just connect with those who are already part of our church family. We only have a very small team of volunteers who serve on this team. Are you willing to bring a snack to share occasionally? Whether you would like to join the team to be put on a rotation for once a month, or if you just want to bring something once, or if you would prefer to donate money to have someone else purchase or prepare a refreshment, any of it would be a blessing! We are looking for help. Please contact Kate Londono if you are willing to serve in any way or have questions. (407) 394-6474.
