Dear Church Family,
Last Sunday, Pastor Caleb talked about the authority with which Jesus spoke. People were amazed! We’ll see that again this Sunday as we witness in Mark 2:1-17 how Jesus has authority even to forgive sins. And that’s amazingly good news also for us, because just like the paralyzed man in the Bible that we’re going to hear about, our greatest needs aren’t merely physical, but rather… spiritual, whether we know it or not. We too all need God to forgive our sins! Thankfully, this is one of the blessings God gives through Baptism.
The words spoken during Baptism might sound like just simple words. The water might look like just plain water. But when God’s powerful Word is used according to Christ’s command it becomes Baptism—a gracious water of life and a washing of rebirth by the Holy Spirit. What is Baptism? It’s not just plain water, but it water used by God’s command and connected with the authoritative Word of God. Thus we believe that Baptism works incredible miracles: It gives forgiveness, life, and salvation. It’s truly amazing!
That’s why this Sunday at church we will again celebrate Baptism Sunday. Remember, there is one, bilingual service this Sunday at 10:30 am in our new Worship Center. There will also be a potluck meal following in the Commons. What a blessing to gather and celebrate together as one church family for this special service! We will also welcome Missionary Mike Hartman from London who will preach a message continuing our series “Race to the Cross.”

Getting to Know Our New Worship and Ministry Center
Main Entrance/Parking:
You may park anywhere on campus. As you enter for worship on Sundays, please use our Main Entrance for Worship. This is located at the entrance facing 104th Ave. You will see new WELCOME letters marking the entrance to our lobby. As you invite guests, please also direct them to meet you here. The space is designed for you to find information about our ministry to use for yourself or as resources to share with others. Ushers will direct you, greeters will welcome you and there is a station for DSKids registration. If you have small children that need to move around during the service, the lobby provides a place to do so. Eventually we will have a screen and speakers there to hear/see everything that is going on in the service. After the service you can enjoy coffee, refreshments, and an opportunity to connect with your church family inside or out.
Quiet Room:
The small private chapel at the rear of the Worship Space is reserved for moms who wish to breastfeed their babies. There will be a screen installed later with the live service being played. Toddlers who need to move are welcome to use the lobby. During the week this will serve as a quiet place to pray and open hours will be communicated.
Bathrooms:
There are two options: the high school commons and the newly renovated bathrooms outside the private chapel, facing 58th Street.
Lounge:
This room connected to the side of the Worship Space is reserved for meeting our first time visitors after worship. During the week we use it for small group Bible studies or meetings.
Ministry Center Reception:
Our Ministry Center Reception is located in the part of the building facing 58th Street. You can enter here during the week to meet with our pastors, DSC staff, for Bible studies, small groups, or meetings. All of our offices and conference rooms are connected to this.
