Dear Church Family,
Proper form makes all the difference in the race. How your feet hit the ground, the way your toes push off, the rotation of your legs, the pumping of your arms, the position of your chest, the focus of your eyes… it all matters. Runners practice proper form and technique for a purpose, but not just an external one. It is to ensure their whole body is in sync, including their lungs and heart. It all contributes to a successful race. Jesus reminds that when it comes to our spiritual race, proper form in our hearts leads to proper worship in our lives and proper praise on our lips.
Lead your heart to worship God rightly this Sunday at church as Pastor Caleb takes us into a portion of God’s Word found in Mark 7:1-30. Here we’ll learn from Jesus how, unfortunately, some people end up worshiping God in vain and how to make sure that doesn’t happen to us.

START Classes Continue This Week: What does the Bible teach? Participate in Pastor Ben’s START Class to learn the foundational teachings of our Lutheran Christian faith. Prepares you to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion at Divine Savior Church when you’re ready. Helps you know with certainty how Jesus has changed your life! Classes will meet weekly for 7 weeks. – Sunday mornings after church starting February 11 from 11:00-12:30 pm
– Thursday evenings starting Thursday evenings February 15 from 7:00-8:30 pm.
First Impression Team Opportunities – Have you noticed how God is growing our church? We have been blessed with more and more people attending worship services in person each week which has created new opportunities! Our Usher, Greeter, and Refreshment Teams are looking for more volunteers to meet the needs of our growing family in Christ. How might you be able to serve? Leaders of each team provide training as necessary. If you are willing or have questions about any of these teams, please reach out to Staff Minister Becky.
Worship and Ministry Center Grand Opening Weekend – Mark your calendars and save the dates! Our celebration with the community will be on Saturday, March 23. You will hear more about it in person on Sunday after worship. We’re excited about celebrating with one another as a family in Christ and sharing this with those in our lives so they can better know Jesus as their savior and what our church has to offer. The next day, Sunday, March 24 we will have a special opportunity to give thanks to God in worship, which is also Palm Sunday. There are opportunities for you to serve as we prepare for this weekend.
