Dear Church Family,
It’s not easy being a Christian today. It never has been. Jesus said that would be the case. Therefore, we need a deeper joy, a deeper hope to live for to make it through. The resurrection of Jesus gives us this and more! But don’t be surprised by the suffering. Jesus experienced it too. Rejoice in it. It’s proof you belong to Him! Don’t be ashamed. God won’t let you down. We have nothing to fear about the future – but everything to look forward to! We are in the hands of the God who loved us so much He suffered for us and gave his life for us!
Join me this Sunday at 9:30 am as we celebrate Youth Confirmation and continue our message series by studying and applying God’s Word found in 1 Peter 4:12-19.

START Class Continues This Sunday: We’ll begin Lesson Two – Our Triune God. There’s still time to join if you’d like. From 11:00-12:30 pm after church. Just let me know.
Camp South – Every year, Divine Savior Church takes a group of youth to Camp South, a Bible Camp for youth entering 5th-8th grades. We will also take 9th graders who are in our DSC confirmation class. At Camp, kids get to study God’s Word, develop Christian friendships, and grow in their faith. Camp South takes place in Covington, Georgia from July 22-26th, 2024. Check out the 2023 Camp South video here to see what camp is like. Registration for Camp South is open. Find all the info and registration link on the Divine Savior Church app home page (Doral campus). We also need chaperones for Camp South. All travel and registration costs for chaperones are covered, and it’s a lot of fun! Any questions? We are especially in need of male chaperones. Talk to Pastor Caleb.
Youth Confirmation – In our worship service on Sunday, May 26 we will witness several young adults who will be confirmed in their Christian faith. Please join us to congratulate them and celebrate with a cake reception in the high school commons afterwards. Worship is at our regularly scheduled time of 9:30am English and 11:30am Spanish.
Schultz Family Farewell – Jason and Janette Schultz and family will soon be moving to Wisconsin as they begin their new ministry there. We are hosting an informal farewell on Monday, May 27 from 9:00am-noon at Doral Glades Park. All are invited! Bring a snack or treat to share. Questions? Contact Adriana Moreno at 786-374-5418.
Care & Compassion for Lina Jones – We’re still working on our goal to gather enough funds to find a reliable car for Lina and her children. Annual Meeting –Reserve the date on your calendar, Sunday, June 2 to attend our DSC Annual Meeting and hear important congregational updates, elections of new council members, and fiscal year plans. Grab a cup of coffee and gather together in the high school commons. Your participation is important to us as we carry out our mission to change lives with Jesus.
