Dear Church Family,
Should we ever get used to people dying? Some people today talk about dying as just a part of life—something normal because it eventually happens to everyone. But this is not how God sees it. Death is not normal, not our friend, nor is it something we should just “get used to” simply because it seems inevitable. Death is the consequence of sin; it’s our enemy, and yet… it is an enemy that has been defeated by Jesus Christ our Savior who has taken away the sin of the world and who has conquered the grave!
As believers in Christ, therefore, this means we have something far better in the face of death than wishful thinking or mere platitudes. We have the concrete hope of a real, eternal, physical, resurrected life in a re-made world as God originally intended it to be where we will dwell in God’s presence with a glorified body and soul!
Join me this Sunday at 9:30 am here at church as I preach against the idea that “Dying is just a part of life” and point us to the concrete hope we have in the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting.

Memorial Service: In His wisdom and love that never fails, the Lord called home to heaven rather suddenly this week the soul of Donna Spaude.
