Dear Church Family,
Philippians 4:13 might easily be called the Christian version of, “Just do it.” There’s nothing you can’t do if you set your mind to it…and trust in Jesus. Jesus will make it possible to achieve what you thought was impossible: beat cancer, found a Fortune 500 company, or win an Olympic medal. With Jesus at your side, there are no limits.
But life is not one victory after another, even for the founder of a billion dollar company. What happens when we don’t achieve what we want? We don’t need Jesus as a mantra or a life coach but as a Savior sufficient to deliver us from sin, death and the power of the devil, and that’s who he is. When we stop making it about our achievements and instead about Christ, we can have joy and peace at the highest points of life, and especially at the lowest.
Join us this Sunday at 9:30 am as Pastor Steve shares the truth of God’s Word from Philippians chapter 4. My family and I are on vacation in Colorado visiting family and will see you next Sunday, God-willing, back in Doral!

Welcome, Staff Minister Alex!: Please help welcome Alex to our Divine Savior campus and our DSC Doral church family! Her role is new and she will be serving in both the church and the school ministry. As Mission Director, she will focus on outreach to families of our school, concentrating on the ECE and Elem levels. This will be a blessing to guide us as we all work together in our Harvest Strategy to connect more families to the love of Christ and our church. She will also serve as Director of the DSKids ministry program, oversee our Faith5/Fe5 ministry program, and teach Christ-Light as needed in the lower levels of our school. Her work has already begun at DSC and we are blessed to have her here! Her office is located in the new Ministry Center. Say, “Hi” when you see her!
Installation Sunday: All new called workers of Divine Savior Doral will be installed in each of our worship services on Sunday, August 4. We will also install our newly elected or new-termed DSC council members. We give thanks to God for the blessings of more people to serve with us in ministry here as we change lives with Jesus!
