Dear Church Family,
This Sunday at church we continue a short three-week series that walks through the foundational steps of becoming and growing as disciples of Jesus, emphasizing the transformation that comes from living a life changed by Him. Why? Because ultimately, we want to become disciples who make disciples. That is the mission into which Jesus invites us.
In this Sunday’s sermon based on Colossians 2:6-7 we will learn how crucial the foundational teachings of Jesus’ truth are. Jesus asks, “Do you listen to me?” highlighting the importance of His saving work as described in His Word. We thrive on more joy than guilt by taking Jesus’ truth seriously. Being rooted in Christ and taking God’s Word seriously is essential for spiritual growth. Deepening one’s relationship with God leads to growth in hope, peace, and purpose.

Find ways to connect with your family and deepen your understanding of each other. Improve the mental and spiritual health of your children and yourselves as parents! Youth Confirmation Class ORIENTATION – RSVP: Students entering 7th or 8th grade who would like to become confirmed members of our church family are invited to RSVP for Youth Confirmation Class Orientation. Youth Confirmation Class is for students who attend DSA or public schools and will be offered on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. All NEW students and their parents must attend the Youth Confirmation Orientation on Saturday, August 24th from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Please click here to RSVP for the orientation.
Youth Confirmation Class REGISTRATION – returning students: Families with students who will be in year 2 of Youth Confirmation Class, should register for the class. Click here by August 23. Class begins on August 28th 7:00-8:30 pm.
Choose an area where you can serve!: We are excited about what God is doing through us here at Divine Savior! There are many opportunities to serve on one of our DSC teams and as we continue to grow, we need more help in ministry. Some teams require a little bit of training; others are quite simple and do not. We are blessed by all of our volunteer leaders and if you already serve on one of our teams, thank you! If you would like to try something new or don’t yet have a team, please click here to see what areas you may be interested in. Teens, of course, can receive credit hours for the time they serve.
