Refined by the Lord

Dear Church Family,

The anticipation of a new leader brings new expectations for followers. Are we ready in our hearts to welcome the one we prepare for? God’s expectations are eternal and unchanging, which means we must change. Change is always hard, and this change is impossible for us alone. Thankfully, God’s grace and mercy never change. He sends the refiner, who applies heat to purify silver. God calls us to return to Him in repentance, acknowledging our sins and allowing them to be burned away. In return, God restores, refines, and purifies us through the miracle of justification and faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit continues to refine and purify us as God’s holy children, like purified silver in the hands of a master silversmith.

Join us this Sunday as we continue our Advent sermon series: Messianic Metaphors. Thank you to Pastor Caleb for preaching and leading worship this Sunday. I will be preaching at our newest Divine Savior Church campus in Celina, TX and traveling to our other Texas campuses from Saturday-Wednesday in my role as the Coordinating Pastor of our DSC Association.
