Dear Church Family,
As we celebrate Baptism Sunday, we rejoice that our true identity as children of God is a divine gift established and affirmed through baptism, not a self-made achievement of our own. Through Baptism, God welcomes us into His family and grants us a new, unshakeable identity on which to build our lives. Unlike our culture that insists on earning worth through personal success, we find our true value at the cross of Jesus, connected to Him who died and rose again. Because God has given us such an identity, we are clothed with Jesus’ righteousness and we now have the greatest reason to live.
Join me this Sunday morning at 9:30 am as we celebrate people getting baptized, affirm our own identity in the gospel, and enjoy a pot-luck meal as a church family after the service!

Every Year It’s a New Story. Click here to join our DSC family daily Bible reading group using the Bible App. This year’s new plan started January 16th, but it’s not too late to jump in right where we are! We’ll read through the entire Bible over the next year and it takes just 15 minutes a day. If you get behind, just jump back in whatever day we’re on!
DSYouth – Divine Savior Doral is hosting Divine Savior Delray for some friendly competition on Friday, January 17th. The girls’ MS basketball teams will be playing at 4:30 pm in the Middle School Gym. After the games, players and families are invited to stay for a combined DSYouth event from 6:00-7:30 pm where all will enjoy some food, Bible Study, and fellowship. This event is for all middle school and high school students and their families. Come cheer on your classmates and join us for God’s Word and fellowship after the games. Baptism Weekend Fellowship – January 18-19 we celebrate new life in Christ through baptism in our Divine Savior family. We will gather together for worship services at regularly scheduled times, but immediately following the service we welcome you to all join us for lunch and a time to connect with one another. Go to the DSC app, sign in, and click on MyDSC on the bottom menu. You can find the Needs Request listed there for the worship service you plan to attend. Please check it and sign up to bring food to share!
College Ministry Bible Study – Are you or do you know a college student in the Miami area? Our DSC College Ministry group encourages college students to learn, live, and lead for Christ. Join us for our next Bible study this Sunday, January 19 at 5:00 PM at Divine Savior Church. Meet in the Ministry Center Lounge. Questions? Contact Musumeno for more info.
Faith5: Building strong families – Learn a simple but powerful framework that can help center your family around Christ. Find ways to connect with your family and deepen your understanding of each other. Improve the mental and spiritual health of your children and yourselves as parents! Participate in our next sessions of Faith5 with Divine Savior Church! You will join together, along with other parents, to learn how to implement this simple tool. Family Soccer Day – Join us on the athletic field on Sunday, January 26 for an afternoon of fun! Enjoy the fresh air with your DSC family. Meet after the Spanish worship service – about 1:00 pm. Plan on a pick up game of soccer or play with the kids on the playground and or just visit with others. All ages can participate. Bring a snack to share if you like, we will have water.
New START Class Starting Soon – What does the Bible teach? Participate in Pastor Ben’s START Class to learn the foundational teachings of our Lutheran Christian faith. Prepares you to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion at Divine Savior Church when you’re ready. Helps you know with certainty how Jesus has changed your life! Complete this brief form to let Pastor Ben you’d like to participate. New class will begin after church on Sunday, February 2nd from 11:00-12:30. Childcare available if needed.
Faith and Family Night: Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 pm. Come for Bible Study led by Pastor Ben from 7:00-8:10, stay for Worship from 8:15-8:30 pm, or just come for Worship. Join us again this Wednesday! We’re studying Jesus’ “I AM” statements found in the gospel of John.
