Dear Church Family,
Join us this Sunday at church for an honest conversation about sex—a conversation based on God’s Word in the Bible. This won’t be a shameful or embarrassing conversation. It won’t be a rated “R” sermon. Instead, we’ll explore how God, who created and designed sex, intended it to be a blessing. While movies, TV, and pornography often misrepresent sex, we will uncover the truth about this wonderful gift from God. We’ll talk about how good sex requires effort and understanding, and how it can bring incredible blessings when approached with respect and love. However, we’ll also address the potential harm and pain that can arise when sex is misused.
Pastor Steve will be preaching this Sunday as we conclude our Taboo series in Doral. If the topic at church this Sunday seems too emotional or difficult, please know you’re welcome to attend the bilingual service on Saturday at 5 pm where Pastor Caleb will have a different message based on the life of Joseph from the Bible. This Sunday I will be at our Divine Savior Church-Delray Beach campus preaching and leading worship there talking about depression.

DSYouth – Tonight (Friday, Feb 21) is the next DSYouth activity for families with middle school and high school students. Parents and teens, connect and grow with us from 6:00-8:00 pm! We’ll have Bible study and prayer, refreshments and games. Our motto is “Disciples of Christ, Stronger Together.” Click here for the required Parent Consent and here for Student Registration. (You only need to do this once this year.) We hope to see you there!
START Class This Sunday – Continues this Sunday after worship in the ministry center conference room.. Thank you to John Gensmer for teaching this Sunday.
Family Soccer Day – Join us on the athletic field THIS SUNDAY, February 23 for an afternoon of fun! Enjoy the fresh air with your DSC family. Meet after the Spanish worship service – about 1:00 pm. Plan on a pick up game of soccer or play with the kids on the playground and or just visit with others. All ages can participate.
Connect Group Interest – We have a goal to launch 10 new Connect Groups this year! Please share your input on this brief form to help us get started. What is a Connect Group? It’s a gathering of about 7-12 people that provides a place to connect with others, share life, and grow in faith together.
Faith and Family Night – Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 pm. Come for Bible Study led by Pastor Ben from 7:00-8:10, stay for Worship from 8:15-8:30 pm, or just come for Worship. Join us again this Wednesday! We’re studying Jesus’ “I AM” statements found in the gospel of John.
Ash Wednesday – Ash Wednesday is March 5 and marks the beginning of Lent, a time when we walk with Jesus to the cross to see the extent of his love that paid for every imperfect thought, word, and action. You and your family are invited to join us for a special Ash Wednesday bilingual worship service at 5:00 pm or 7:00 pm.
