Dear Church Family,
That week in Jerusalem was extraordinary. When Jesus rode into the city on a donkey, the crowds erupted with excitement, waving palm branches and shouting praises of “Hosanna!” However, they didn’t fully grasp the significance of His arrival. By the end of the week, those same crowds demanded His crucifixion.
Only Jesus truly understood what was happening. He knew the betrayal, suffering, and the cross that awaited Him, yet He embraced it willingly. Jesus took the punishment we deserved to offer us freedom we could never earn. He chose this path out of His immense love for us.
As we reflect on this incredible week, let’s thank God for Jesus’ understanding and sacrifice. This is the heart of the Gospel: Jesus was condemned so that the condemned could go free. Because of Him, we are invited into eternal, unshakable freedom filled with hope.
