The tomb is still empty! Yet we live in a world filled with stress and anxiety. We need abundant, overflowing joy to flood our souls, and Jesus is that joy! The book of Philippians points us to this joy.
The gospel of Jesus has the power to transform lives and offer the promise of eternal life. It can transform you today and continue to change you until the day you join God’s people to receive the prize Jesus won for us: the glory of life with God, where He supplies all our needs with His riches. This goal gives us reason to live with joy, whether in plenty or poverty.
Because Jesus lives, you can join the Apostle Paul and countless others who say, “I count it all loss next to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord!” To live is Christ, and to die is infinite gain.
As this message transforms your life, you will shine like a star in a dark place, living joyously and sharing this joy with others. Join us this Sunday at 9:30 am as we begin a new series on the book of Philippians – Shine Like Stars.

START Class Continues This Sunday
Family Soccer Day – Join us on the athletic field THIS SUNDAY, April 27 for an afternoon of fun! Enjoy the fresh air with your DSC family. Meet after the Spanish worship service – about 1:00 pm. Plan on a pick up game of soccer or play with the kids on the playground and or just visit with others. All ages can participate.
DSC Volunteers on Worship Teams – If you serve as a volunteer on any teams that support the worship service, please stay after the service this Sunday to meet with Staff Minister Becky for some important updates.
Faith and Family Night This Week – Continues this Wednesday. Join us for our Bible study on Ephesians at 7:00 pm in the worship center and/or bilingual worship from 8:15-8:30 pm.
Blood Drive – On Sunday, May 4 from 8:30am-1:30pm the Big Red Bus from One Blood will be in our parking lot. Please consider donating blood or platelets to serve our community. They are offering free health checks and a gift as a thank you. If you prefer to make an appointment ahead of time, click here.
Discover Event – Next Sunday (May 4) we have the next Discover event and it is the perfect opportunity for you to invite a friend, family member, or neighbor to experience the joy and community we have at Divine Savior. Whether they are curious about faith or just looking for a welcoming place to connect, this is their chance to discover what makes our church family so special. We can’t wait to meet them! Invite them to attend worship with you, offer them some coffee afterward, and stay for a brief 15 minute presentation following the service! Who is the one person you could invite?
