Dear Church Family,
Have you ever been on a long trip and felt that surge of joy when you’re almost home? You start to recognize the familiar sights, hear the familiar sounds, maybe even smell the familiar air. It lifts your heart and gives you the energy to finish the journey.
That’s what the Christian life is like.
We’re travelers here on earth, but our true home is with God. And the closer we get, the more we long for it. God has placed that longing in our hearts—and He’s given us His Word to keep our eyes fixed on the finish line.
This weekend in worship, we’ll be reflecting on Philippians 3:12–21 and the encouragement to “press on toward the goal.” It’s a powerful reminder that we are citizens of heaven, and that truth gives us strength for the journey.
Join us this Sunday at church at 9:30 am. Come and be refreshed. Come and be reminded. Come and run hard for home.

Call Returned – I have returned my call to Hope church in Toronto. That means my family and I will be staying in Doral and continuing to serve at Divine Savior. Jesus be with you all. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement! Please keep Hope in your prayers as they call again and wait to get a new pastor.

Camp South – Every year, Divine Savior Church takes a group of youth to Camp South, a Bible Camp for youth entering 5th-8th grades. We will also take 9th graders who are in our DSC confirmation class. Kids get to study God’s Word, develop Christian friendships, and grow in their faith. Camp South takes place in Covington, Georgia from July 21-25th, 2025. Check out the 2024 Camp South video here to see what camp is like. Registration for Camp South is open, but space is limited! Find all the info and registration link on the Divine Savior Church app home page. We also need chaperones for Camp South. All travel and registration costs for chaperones are covered, and it’s a lot of fun! Any questions? Talk to Pastor Caleb.
Update your Info – Once a year we ask that you take a minute to update your contact information and profile in our system (MyDSC). This is our database and is different from the DSC App. Click here to log in. Please upload a current photo of yourself to better help our ministry staff and check the following: mailing address, email contact, phone number, birthday and anniversary (if applicable). When you are finished, let Staff Minister Becky know – she has a small gift for you for helping us manage our ministry better! Congregational Annual Meeting Sunday June 1 – We want everyone in our church family to be informed in the ministry we carry out together as Divine Savior Church. Our Annual Meeting to review the ministry plans and proposals of our Church Council for the approaching new fiscal year and vote on them is Sunday, June 1st after each worship service. All are invited to attend.
College Ministry Bible Study – Are you or do you know a college student in the Miami area? Our DSC College Ministry group encourages college students to learn, live, and lead for Christ. Join us for our next Bible study this Sunday, June 1 at 5:00 PM at Divine Savior Church. Meet in the Ministry Center Lounge. Questions? Contact Musumenu for more info.
Summer Worship Schedule – Due to summer travel schedules and limited staff/volunteer resources, we will be pausing the Saturday bilingual worship service. It will resume again in August. Worship services on Sunday morning will continue as normal in English at 9:30 am and Spanish at 11:30 am.
DSC Volunteers – Much of our ministry happens through volunteers – we are blessed! If you aren’t yet serving on a team or would like to explore additional ways to serve, please click here to indicate any areas you might be interested in! If you already serve on a team, please remember to manage your serving through the DSC app. Block out dates when you will be traveling and unavailable and choose dates when you can serve. If you have any questions, reach out to your Team Leader!
