Dear Church Family,
This Sunday as we finish our Discipleshift sermon series, Pastor Steve will help us see a beautiful snapshot of life in the early church in Acts 2, where believers devoted themselves to God’s Word, fellowship, prayer, and life together.
The early church didn’t grow through programs alone. It grew through relationships centered on Christ. As believers gathered around God’s Word and invested in one another, the Gospel took root and spread. The same is true today.
We’ve been learning the last couple weeks that discipleship is more than merely attending church or gaining knowledge. It’s learning to follow Jesus alongside others. Through authentic community, God strengthens our faith, connects us to His people, and uses us to help others grow in Christ.
In a world where isolation is common, Jesus invites us into something better: a family of faith where we are known, encouraged, equipped, and sent. So join us this Sunday as we discover how God still builds His Church through ordinary believers devoted to Christ and one another. Together we’ll get to welcome some new members in our English service and join in partaking of Holy Communion. We look forward to worshiping with you!

Family Soccer Day – Join us on the athletic field THIS SUNDAY, August 30th for an afternoon of fun! Enjoy the fresh air with your DSC family. Meet after the Spanish worship service – about 1:00 pm. Plan on a pick up game of soccer or play with the kids on the playground or just visit with others. All ages can participate.
Faith & Family Night – Life gets busy, but God invites us to pause, be refreshed in His Word, and connect with our church family. Starting Wednesday, September 9, join us every Wednesday at 7:00 pm for Bible studies in English and Spanish, Youth Confirmation Class, DSYouth, DSTeens, and childcare for little ones. Find all the opportunities in the DSC App → DSC Info → Groups & Classes. To end the evening, we’ll come together for a special time of devotion, song, and encouragement in God’s Word. Together, we grow in faith, strengthen meaningful relationships, and are equipped to reflect the light of Christ in our daily lives.
DSYouth & DSTeens Are Back! – We’re excited to kick off a new year of DSYouth and DSTeens on Wednesday, September 9, as part of Faith & Family Night. We support families with students in 6th–12th grade as they grow together as disciples of Jesus. Students will have the opportunity to build meaningful Christian friendships, grow in God’s Word, and strengthen their faith in a fun and welcoming environment. We’ll meet weekly on Wednesday nights from 6:00–8:00 pm, with special events throughout the year. Register in the DSC App by selecting DSC Info → All Groups & Classes → DSYouth & DSTeens, and join us as we grow together in faith!
Welcome Back Weekend – Every One Invite One – Welcome Back Weekend is a chance to reconnect as God’s family—and to make room for one more. As you think about your friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family, who comes to mind? Who is your ONE? Let’s welcome them into a community where people are encouraged, cared for, and loved in Christ. Join us for worship: Saturday, Sept. 12 at 5:00 pm (Bilingual) or Sunday, Sept. 13 at 9:30 am (English) & 11:30 am (Español)
Faith5: Building strong families – Learn a simple but powerful framework that can help center your family around Christ. Find ways to connect with your family and deepen your understanding of each other. Improve the mental and spiritual health of your children and yourselves as parents! Participate in our next sessions of Faith5 with Divine Savior Church! You will join together, along with other parents, to learn how to implement this simple tool. We invite both parents to attend the upcoming Sunday sessions from 11:00 am-noon. Session dates are September 20, 27 and October 4 and 11. Register on the DSC App → DSC Info → Groups & Classes.
